'Go ye into all the world'...
Dear readers, I write with a twofold purpose: first, please pray for our mission to Malawi, which includes yours truly, and, furthermore, departs on Tuesday morning for three weeks of relationship building and pastoral ministry. Pray that our journey will be one in which our Lord finds great pleasure, one in which the gospel is proclaimed with an earnest zeal for God's glory!
We shall be quite busy: we're teaching in a seminary, visiting and ministering in an HIV/AIDS clinic, working in an orphanage, hosting a 'Youth Weekend', launching their first ever Cursillo weekend, worshipping and working with the Sisters of St. Mary, and, as if that's not enough to keep us moving, we're making pastoral visits with priests in the region. And that's not all; we'll be building relationships with our Anglican brothers and sisters in Malawi through old-school fellowship, that is, by cooking, eating, praying, crying, and living with them!
Secondly, pray for the dear people of Malawi. Pray that God will use them and us for the building up of His kingdom. All are one in Christ Jesus, dear ones!
Finally, I must mention to you, dear readers, that we're in the red: we have not been able to raise the total amount necessary for a mission of this size. If you feel called to support our team of 11 seminarians and 1 priest chaplain, please send your tax deductible gift to:
Jackson Kemper Mission Society
of Nashotah House
2777 Mission Road
Nashotah, WI 53058
Your gift will provide: spiritual counseling, teaching, healing, relationship building, fund a Cursillo weekend, fund the first ever 'Youth Retreat', supply basic needs at more than one orphanage, and provide much needed face-to-face support for two theological schools, various parishes, and three priests with whom we'll be working.
Above all, however, pray without ceasing!
Pax vobiscum,
CDW
